Directions For Use:

Pap Strap™ is designed for use in the tripod socket of your camera or in a tripod socket that are found on some of the longer lenses.

Screw the Pap Strap™ mount into the tripod socket of your camera. Tighten until the compression grommet is held tightly between the Pap Strap™ and the base of the camera.  Tighten it by hand only; do not use any tools. The compression grommet makes a good friction lock even if tightened with little effort. Verify that the mount is fastened securely, but be careful not to over-tighten because doing so could damage your camera.

If you are using a longer lens that has it's own tripod socket the Pap Strap™ should be attached to this rather than the camera to keep the balance point forward of the camera and alleviated much of the weight and stresses of an unbalanced setup.

Periodically verify fastenings are secure.

(For right handed use)

Slide the shoulder pad to a position immediately in front of the buckle.  The excess strap should hang to the rear.

Hold the Pap Strap™ up in front of you with the shoulder pad in your left hand.

Pass your right arm and head through the Pap Strap™ and lower the shoulder pad onto your left shoulder. - You should now be wearing the Pap Strap™ diagonally across your body.  The excess strap will be hanging behind you.

Change the length of the Pap Strap™ so the quick release spring clip hangs at your lower back level.

(For left handed use)

Slide the shoulder pad to a position immediately in front of the buckle.  The excess strap should hang to the rear.

Hold the Pap Strap™ up in front of you with the shoulder pad in your right hand.

Change the length of the Pap Strap™ so the quick release spring clip hangs at your lower back level.

You Are Ready To Attach Your Camera

Hold your camera upside down with the lens facing backwards.  Connect the quick release spring clip to the suspension ring of the Pap Strap™ mount.

Place your camera behind you, along the small of your back.

You are ready to use the Pap Strap™!

Reach for your camera and slide it up the Pap Strap™ to the shooting position.  Use the strap as a guide by pushing outwards as you slide the camera along, bring the camera in to your face at the last moment, this will result in no movement of the strap and the perfect shooting position every time.

You will find the Pap Strap™ so comfortable you'll be happy to carry your camera all day long.  If you do take your camera off and need to place it down, simply lay it on its side.  Owning a Pap Strap™ is confirmation that you are already thinking out of the box.

WARNING:
There are two major disadvantages of using a Pap Strap™.  When out shooting for long periods the Pap Strap™ is so comfortable you can completely forget you have a camera attached.  Problem two is that the Pap Strap™ is known to cause severe jealousy amongst the standard camera strap users.
