'At-home entrepreneurs' are supplying straps that attach to tripod quick release plates.  It is our opinion that the D rings on this type of mount are not adequately secure.  The rings found on the quick release plates are provided to tighten the tripod mount only and we would suggest that they are NOT SUITABLE OR STRONG ENOUGH to hang your camera from.
